A day at Point Defiance Park

Friday I watched my friends daughter Rylee so I thought it would be a great day to get out and go to the Zoo. To my surprise the Zoo was closed for the Zoo Society's annual fundraiser - Zoobilee. So we headed to the Point Defiance Park to play instead. I haven't just walked around Point Defiance for a long time. I used to live walking distance from the park and would take my cousin Katie there for a walk almost everyday. The kids had a blast. Madisen of course was not with us because she was still at camp.

Here are the kids at the Pond. We spent over an hour just watching the ducks, turtles, squirrels and birds. They sure enjoyed the outdoors.

Next we drove over to the Point Defiance Playground.
Tanner fell in some water and needed a wardrobe change at the playground.

Last we ended our day at Owens Beach. It's amazing how much time you can spend skipping rocks into the water!!

Saturday I picked up Madisen from camp. She had a good time. She just got a little bit home sick. It's so great to have her home. A week is a long time to be away from home. She has been a cuddle bug ever since she's been back.

you are so WONDERFUL!!! Thanks so much for loving my little Rylee..she is a great kid but Im glad that if she was spending a day with someone, it was with you. I love the pictures and Im glad miss Madisen is home again with you. Breaks are good but Im glad they are just that- a break- because I'd hate to be without my kids longer than that.
I love you Nicole!!

Looks like a great time... cute pictures! We just did the same thing a couple days ago... the duck pond at pt. defiance and owens beach. We're so lucky to live in such a beautiful area, surrounded by so much water and so many trees, it's wonderful!

We spend so much time at point Defience. It's so nice to have such a beautiful place to go to. We should get all of us cousins together and go there before school starts.
